Sunday De-brief

- Lots of glitches in the early worship, and glitches drive me freaking CRAZY. C-R-A-Z-Y.
- Still had a good time with the early birds. I remain VERY impressed with how that smaller crowd worships, laughs, and rocks.
- Overall attendance down a little. Funny ROCK thing: Some of our people go attend the normal “family” church with mama on Mothers Day. And that is cool.
- Hope none of our folks got kicked out of respectable churches today.
- Lots of our college people are headed home for the summer. I miss them already.
- Ashley Frederick will spend part of the summer as a short-term missionary to Serbia. Pray for her. (And she has not quite raised all the money she needs.) Hint, hint.
- HINT, HINT. (Hollah if you wanna help)
- Some of our Conway native college folks are home for the summer. Great to see them.
- After the past week”’’s ROCK-bogathan, our number of squares purchased should be well above 40. (Each “square” is $1000 toward paying off our land).
- Apparently some of my Facebook friends who dont attend The ROCK want to know what Dozen Controversial Things I believe about Relationship issues. Here goes …
- I believe everything the Bible says about relationships.
- I believe the correct order of things is love, marriage, making love, REAL love, and THEN children.
- I believe respect trumps romance every time.
- I believe wives who withhold sex from their husbands are tempting them to commit at least mental adultery.
- I believe men should be spiritual leaders in their homes.
- I believe that by the healthiest definition of the word “submit,” wives should submit to the leadership of their own husbands.
- I believe that children ARE a big enough reason to save the marriage.
- I believe there is no such thing as a homosexual.
- I believe todays children would benefit greatly from a paddle and a parents ability to say “NO.”
- I believe “I need to be happy” is never a valid excuse for disobeying God.
- I believe God loves and Jesus died for: homosexuals, hookers, porn addicts, adulterers, and assorted other sexual sinners.
- I believe the power of God is capable of transforming anything, anybody, any marriage.
We had fun with all that this morning. Nobody threw anything at me. Nobody marched out. And I will pray all week that God uses it to salvage and/or strengthen godly relationships.
