Weekend Cranium Dump

News of northward frozen conditions didn’t keep most ROCKers from braving the non-existent blizzard and the absence of icy roads.  Most showed up.  And I believe God did too.  He always does, but sometimes His presence is more evident.  He did some great things.

  • At least two people indicated salvation decisions. Some made re-commitments.  Several more said they want to become official members of our team.  Some want to be baptized.
  • A few comments:  “Awesome!”  “Love it!”  “I found my faith again.” (from someone invited by their 9th grade student)
  • Speaking of which:  Please let me know ASAP if you would be willing to give a brief word of support (live or on video) about what impact our church has had on your life.
  • AND:  Let me know if you would give a “tithing testimony.” It would be a brief testimonial of how God has faithfully blessed and taken care of you in the midst of obedient giving.
  • I cannot wait to see if Sunday’s message (actually YOUR response to it) bears fruit.  Who have you told about Jesus and/or our church since Sunday?  Are you grabbing/creating opportunities?
  • Music was A-W-E-S-O-M-E.  Loved all the songs.  And I love the folks who are playing and singing them to lead the rest of us.
  • What the heck was that clicking sound somewhere on the platform around me?  I was ready to beat it to death with one of the music stands.
  • JP, Matt, Hannah & I left soon after church to travel to Charlotte. We got there in time to experience worship at Elevate Church.  Visioneering Studios (who will help us) led them through developing their facility, and we wanted to see what they did.  Yesterday we went to IKEA to pick up some things for the new office facility.  We’re transforming the former Katalyst House, and we’re trying to be as frugal as possible.
  • BTW, We’ll need some volunteer “front desk” staffing. Let me know if you’re interested in a day a week, or a half-day.  My goal is to fill the week with friendly ROCKers who can greet folks, answer the phone, and protect the productivity of the Staff.  Hollah by email (Kevin@Rock.org).
  • I hope you’re reading CRAZY LOVE, by Francis Chan. We start a message series based on that book this Sunday.  First up:  CRAZY WORSHIP.
