Haiti

Nine million people.  Voodoo.  Poverty.  Disease.  Political corruption.  Money and ministry from mission efforts constantly pouring in (for decades).  And now a devastating earthquake with a horrifying death toll.  There are folks who strongly believe that Haiti is the sewer of the Caribbean, and is beyond all hope.  Pat Robertson recently said that all of Haiti’s woes come from previously selling its soul to the devil.  [Open letter to Pat Robertson:  Shut up.  You make Christians look like idiots when you say things like that.    Sincerely, Me.]

Breaking News: God loves Haiti as much as He loves the US or any other country.
In Further Developments: Only God can miraculously transform tragedy into triumph.  He can use the suffering to change a country.  God’s specialty is changing hearts.

Maybe He’s changing YOURS! There will be opportunities to go serve in relief missions.  There will be lots of opportunities to give.  Here’s one.   Here’s another.

And PRAY. Some think that sounds trite, cliche’.    I don’t.   If you lived in that mess right now, how desperately would you want believers around the world to pray for you?

There’s also Christians there. Although, according to Wikipedia, they tend to mix a few things.
