Testosterighteousness
It’s a new word. And it isn’t an infection or disease. It’s what our culture needs – humanly speaking – more than it needs anything else. We need a redefinition (and a biblical one) of manhood. In the movie Fight Club, Brad Pitt’s
character apparently alludes to a cultural phenomenon of the last few decades: “We’re a generation of men raised by women.” Ever thought of that? Ever wondered what the growing ABSENCE of real men influencing the emerging generations of men will mean? One guy has said we are seeing more and more “mesbians” … men who identify with women but still prefer them.
Yikes!
Could a cultural manhood deficit explain the growing feminization of men? The increasing difficulty in forming and keeping healthy marriages? The craving for more and dirtier porn? The obsession with violent cinema and games? Is all of that part of a distorted world’s way of screaming and begging for authentic masculinity?
We’re talking about testosterighteousness at The ROCK this Sunday. If you live nearby, and the lack of testicular fortitude has burdened you too, drop in. And buckle up. We’re going to talk about bizarre manhood initiation rituals, how to treat women, and bullies, and Jesus.
Man up.

Testosterighteousness, mesbians.. Kevin, you write a great blog. This one is a killer teaser though. You’re tempting me to duck my service for your’s. But if I did, I’d miss Cole’s Sunday School lesson. Life is full of tough choices. You wouldn’t be able to podcast this sunday, would you?
Thanks Stan,
Our stuff is posted on the website late Tuesday. But you could also slip in to our early worship (9am) and leave early enough to go heckle Cole.
