R U 1st? Or 2nd?
That question is answered all day, every day as you decide your real relationship to God. Is He there to do your bidding? Or vice versa? Iamsecond is a movement designed to remind us of our place. Here’s an incredible video from two amazing athletes. Sam Bradford is the starting QB for the Oklahoma Sooners, and he was last year’s Heisman Trophy winner (as college football’s best player). Colt McCoy is the starting QB for the Texas Longhorns. They’re good friends, but more importantly – as you’ll see – both are best friends with somebody MUCH more famous.
Interestingly, Sam and Colt’s paths have taken very different turns this year. Colt’s Texas Longhorns are undefeated, ranked #3 in the country, and might play for the National Championship. Sam has suffered a college career-ending shoulder injury, and his Oklahoma team has lost a couple of games without him. But I bet their individual commitments to keeping Jesus Christ first (& themselves 2nd) haven’t changed one bit.
Refreshing to see superstars who have life ordered correctly, isn’t it?
